Becoming a Recognized Organisation

This article is based on the VSETH statutes. They can be found on the main page and are always the main basis.

A student organization can be recognized if:

  • Offers services to students;
  • are a legal person;
  • offer full membership to all VSETH members regardless of origin, language, gender or religion;
  • have no purpose or perform activities that contradict the purpose of the VSETH;
  • are politically neutral;
  • act on a non-profit basis.

In addition, the organization should have already established itself somewhat (i.e. it has already been active for a few semesters and some members count).
With this recognition, the VSETH expresses great confidence; As a result, the services can then also be provided in an uncomplicated manner.
Unfortunately, this is only possible if it is possible to estimate what kind of offer has been made available in the past and how it will develop in the future.

If you meet these requirements and can continue to fulfill them over the coming years, apply to ia@vseth.ethz.ch and handing in the following documents:

  • Bylaws
  • Annual report & annual accounts including balance sheet and profit and loss account (if the association was just founded, send us a description of you and your goals instead)
  • Annual budget
  • completed questionnaire: Recognition of Organisations.pdf

After talking to our Internal Affairs team, you will be invited to a board meeting for recognition so that we can get to know each other a little.
We are interested in your goals, your offer and your organizational structure.
