Becoming an Associated Organization
This article is based on the VSETH statutes. They can be found on the here and are always the main basis (however, they are only available in German).
A student organization can be associated if
- it has been recognized for several years;
- it is religiously neutral;
- there is already close collaboration with VSETH (synergies in university politics, collaboration on events and projects).
If you meet these requirements and can continue to do so in the coming years, you can apply to ia@vseth.ethz.ch with a motivational letter.
The board can then submit a motion to the members' council.
If it is accepted, the VSETH board will then draft a contract of association.
Reasons for association
Organizations recognized by VSETH benefit from several perks and fulfill specific duties. Both increase with association (see for associated organizations).
An association should be considered especially if you want to be in close and regular contact with VSETH (handing in protocols and annual reports, a "Götti" on the board as a direct point of contact etc.) or want to have specific agreements regulated in a contract of association.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact ia@vseth.ethz.ch.
